good weekend

i really suck at writing blogs. my friend tim, his blog is genius. i look forward to it. i on the other hand, can't come up with anything to write about.

i had a good weekend even though sara's out of town visiting family. on saturday i went to warped tour. i've never been before and after about 10 minutes i was too freaked out to possibly wander around and enjoy myself. it's a depressing thing watching 20,000 sun-burnt kids buy into a lifestyle that will only leave them wanting. another thing that bugged me at warped tour is that every band on tour gets a case of water everyday. but they bottle it in 16 ounce monster energy drinks so it looks like all these bands ONLY drink monster energy drinks. weak. what made it all worthwhile though was seeing this guy, who for some odd reason, really makes me happy.

and in general i spent a lot of time with good friends and that was the awesome. we all had free tickets to the utah arts festival (much more my speed i think). i didn't really poke around too much, we were too busy stopping and standing in everyone's way.

i'm also reading the memory keeper's daughter which is really a good book. i don't know any guys that have read it, but i like it and so far it's a seriously good book (especially if you love long, wordy descriptions of stupid scenic crap).

so yep. good weekend. i leave for africa in three weeks and i am so excited i would leave tonight if i could.
