best books of 2008

these didn't necessarily come out in 2008, i just read them in 2008.

fiction

4. crossing to safety - wallace stegner
5. the kite runner - khalid housseini

technically what is the what is in the fiction section, but it is based on a true person and a true story so i've thrown it in with nonfiction. good year for me and dave eggers. definitely someone who should be on your bookshelf if you're a reader.
